See why people leave your website, and what to fix first.
VisitorStory watches how real visitors use your site, tells you in plain English what’s getting in their way, and shows you the moment it happens. Fix it, and we’ll tell you whether it worked.

Three things usually bring someone here.
People visit, but don’t buy
The traffic is there and the orders aren’t. Somewhere between arriving and paying, something stops them, and you can’t see what.
Something changed and sales dipped
A new theme, a new checkout, a plugin update. When a page gets worse after a change, we tell you which page, by how much, and since when.
You have numbers, not answers
Your analytics say the bounce rate is up. They don’t say why, or what to do on Monday morning. That’s the part we do.
A short list of fixes, not a wall of charts.
Your dashboard opens with one sentence about how your site is doing and the three things most worth fixing this week, ranked by how many visitors they affect.
Each one says what’s wrong, what to try, and has a Show me button that plays a real visit at the moment it went wrong.
How the weekly fixes workSee where people click, and where they stop reading.
Heatmaps show what gets clicked, what gets ignored and how far down each page people actually get, separately for phones and computers.
Replays rebuild each visit from the page itself rather than filming the screen, so they’re sharp, light, and can’t see anything outside your site.
More on heatmaps and replayMost tools tell you what happened. We tell you what to do about it.
Counting visitors is useful. It just isn’t the same as knowing what to change.
A typical analytics dashboard
- Dozens of charts, and you decide which ones matter
- Shows that people left, not what they ran into
- Written for analysts: sessions, bounce, attribution
- No way to tell whether your change helped
VisitorStory
- Three things to fix this week, most important first
- A replay of the exact moment for every problem
- Plain sentences: “people give up at the phone field”
- Checks every week whether the fix worked, and says so
Then we check that the fix actually worked.
Every problem is tied to a number, like how many people leave at checkout. After you change something, we compare each week with the last.
Only when the number recovers and stays recovered for about a week does it get a Fixed stamp with the improvement. If a problem comes back, we say so.
Tell us what a sale is worth and problems also come with a rough money figure, so you know which one to do first.

01
Add one line to your site
Paste a single script tag into your site’s header. It works anywhere you can add code to every page, and loads in the background.
-
02
We read your site for you
We look at your home page and a couple of others, work out what you sell and what counts as a win, and fill in your settings. You check and hit Save.
-
03
Get your fixes every week
Every Monday we review the week against the one before and write up what’s getting in the way, in plain English, with the replays that prove it.

04
See if the fix paid off
After you change something we keep watching. When the number recovers and holds, it’s stamped Fixed with how much better it got.
Polite to your visitors, by default.
Everything people type into forms is hidden before it leaves their browser. Passwords and card-number fields stay hidden even if you change that setting.
Want visitors to choose? Turn on the small cookie bar at the bottom of the page. Nobody is blocked: we count visits and clicks, and only record full visits for people who say yes.
How we protect visitor dataThe whole toolkit, with the jargon taken out.
Session replay
Watch any visit back, with every click, scroll and page change. Skip the quiet bits. Phones play in a phone frame.
Session replayHeatmaps
Clicks, mouse movement, scroll reach and attention, for every page, split by phone, tablet and computer.
HeatmapsFunnels and forms
Set the steps to a sale or an enquiry, see where people drop out, and find the exact form field where they give up.
Funnels and formsWeekly fixes
A weekly report you can share: the headline numbers, what changed, the problems worth fixing and what to watch next.
Weekly fixesHealth score and live
One number to chase, the people on your site right now, and broken scripts and slow pages in the weekly list.
Health and liveTeam and sites
Your sites under one account, teammates with their own roles, and settings filled in for you.
Team and sitesBuilt for the person who runs the site.
Online shops
Find what stops people between the product page and the thank-you page: the coupon box that does nothing, the shipping surprise, the field nobody can fill in on a phone.
Businesses that run on enquiries
Studios, clinics, trades and consultants. See whether people find your contact form, and where they give up on it.
Agencies and freelancers
Add the sites you look after under one account (up to 30 on Pro), invite your team, and send clients a weekly report they can actually read.

The things people ask first.
Will it slow my site down?
The script loads in the background (async), so your page doesn’t wait for it. It sends what it gathers in small compressed batches.
Do I need a developer?
No. You paste one line into your site’s header, the same way you’d add any tracking code. If your site builder lets you add code to every page, you can install it.
Is it a video of my visitors’ screens?
No. We rebuild the page from its own structure and replay what changed, like the cursor, clicks, scrolling and page updates. It can’t see other tabs, other apps or anything outside your site.
Can I see what people type?
Not by default. Every form field is hidden before anything leaves the visitor’s browser, and the replay shows asterisks. Password fields and card fields stay hidden even if you turn that setting off.
Will my visitors see a cookie banner?
Your choice, per site: no banner, a small bar at the bottom, or a full-screen pop-up. With the bar, people can keep browsing; we only record full visits for those who accept.
Who writes the weekly fixes?
We work out the numbers first: where people drop out, what they click that doesn’t work, which pages are slow. An AI model then turns those numbers into plain sentences. It only sees the summary figures, never your visitors’ recordings or anything they typed, and every number it writes is checked against our own.
What happens when I reach 1,000 sessions on the free plan?
Nothing scary. As you get close, we start recording a sample of visits instead of every one, and we never send a surprise bill. If you need more, we’ll move you to a bigger plan.
